The LIFE InBioSoil project was presented at the LIFE24 Welcome Meeting held in Brussels (Belgium) on September 22, 2025.

Organised annually by the European Commission through CINEA, this event brings together newly funded projects under the latest LIFE Programme call, fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange and networking among project coordinators and technical monitors.

Carme Bosch, LIFE InBioSoil coordinator and head of the Soils and Groundwater Line of the Water, Air and Soils Unit of Eurecat, delivered a general overview of the initiative in the thematic session on Chemicals, Air & Noise, Soil.

During the event, Carme Bosch had the opportunity to connect with sister projects such as LIFE LAERTHES, REAMINE, LIFE4DEGAS, PMFree-Ports, CLEAN-AIR, OPTIMUS, BIOCARE4LIFE, APOLLO, WOODMER and LIFE HERMES — all working towards cleaner air, healthier soils, and a more sustainable environment across Europe.

Coordinated by Eurecat, LIFE InBioSoil aims to develop and test an innovative biological solution for in situ soil remediation, based on mycoremediation and advanced bioremediation tools. The project targets the sustainable cleaning of contaminated soils without excavation, reducing energy consumption and emissions compared to conventional methods.
